CONVERSIONS UNDER COMPANIES ACT 2014

change[1]The Companies Act 2014 introduced name changes to a number of Company types.

There is a conversion process in place to enable all existing Private Limited by Shares company types to convert into one of the two new company types

LTD (Private company limited by shares)

DAC (Designated Activity Company)

Two important dates to note:

31st August 2016 – Last chance to convert to DAC

30th November 2016 – Conversion period ends for LTD

If a Private Limited by Shares company chooses to do nothing they will be converted by the CRO by law into the LTD model on 30th November 2016. A new electronic certificate of incorporation will be issued to the Company by the CRO.
